Tobias Lehmann studied sociology and science and technology studies at the Universities of Augsburg and Vienna.

Since 2020, he has been working as a research associate at TU Berlin and is involved in the BMBF-funded project "Forms and Effects of Failure in Science" (FEM). The topic of the project is field-specific forms of scientific failure, their consequences for the research biographies of individual scientists and for the knowledge production of their scientific communities.
