Vita
Matthias Held explores methods to combine information about changes in the knowledge production of researchers with changes in the subject areas. Working for the research project “MiMaL - Establishing bibliometric micro-macro link in science studies“, he employs bibliometric methods to identify scientists’ research topics in the course of their career by analyzing their publications (micro-level) and connect these information with mapping the knowledge dynamics of scientific communities (macro level) (Project MiMaL [2]).
Research areas:
- Bibliometric methods
- Scientometrics, mapping the sciences
- Knowledge theory
